We are holding a Tree Planting event at the Niakwa Trail Rain Garden on Thursday, September 21. We need volunteers to help us plant 30 trees and shrubs that were donated through the Re-Leaf Project. Ace Bobcat Services will start digging each hole but holes need to be finished with the help of volunteers. Volunteers are needed to plant the trees, add mulch, and water the newly planted trees. Please meet us at the garden any time after 3 p.m. Bring hand digging tools, spades, buckets, and a wheelbarrow (if you can). Some tools will be available. Thanks to Wilma Sotas for pulling this event together. The rain garden is at the corner of Fermor and St. Anne’s Road. Volunteers can park in the Superstore parking lot. See the map/poster attached.
